HEY BOO'S!!!

My name is Kay but, my Ghanaian/ "house name" is Maame Bonsu. I was named after my grandfather, Nana Samuel Kwame Bonsu but, that's not where my journey for making candles began...

Throughout this pandemic I got pregnant and now have a wonderful baby boy. #BabyBonsu

When my baby shower came around (and I was 7/8 months pregnant), I had this bright idea to create 50 candles, lotions, and soap bars as part of the giveaway bags. I was shocked afterwards when people kept asking who made the candles and lotions... and offended when people didn't believe I created them, lol. :)

I've always loved candles and because I have the tendency to burn a lot of them, I was worried throughout my pregnancy about how much toxins they create. Even now that I'm a parent, I have to worry about what my son breathes as well. That's why I try to use as many clean products as I can to create these candles.

On a personal note, candles for me create an ambiance and improves my mood. I hope when burning one of my candles you find peace, happiness, and enjoyment!
